I took this with my iPhone sometime in the last couple months while I was out walking Lila.  I take her to a nearby elementary school and run her around back in the field.  Saw this, snapped it, and then today thought, well...it has been way too long since I made a post.  Even though it's just a shot from my phone, it seemed appropriate since today is primary election day.

Odd things catch my eye.  I guess either a parent or someone just passing through the area happened to have a Sharpie on them and decided to write their presidential favorite on a metal trash can?  Interesting.

PS:  Tell someone you love them today!  People love to hear that sh*t.

I take my camera everywhere.  Even to the tattoo table.  Then I take photos while getting tattooed.  Well, just the once since I have only one tattoo.  But still.  Pretty rad to be able to photograph the moment.  Once mine was done (which only took about 30 minutes), my friend Mitch got in the hot seat and I snapped some photos while he was getting his.

It's Thanksgiving week already?

I don't know about you, but I feel like 5 minutes ago it was July and now Thanksgiving is only a few days away?  Time definitely flies as you get older, but I think sometimes the confusion as to the time of year has to do with how odd Maryland weather can be.

We generally have 4 very distinct seasons which is nice!  It doesn't normally start to really get cold until sometime in November.  However this year, on Halloween weekend we got snow.  It was Saturday October 29th and I woke up to cold, rainy weather which eventually turned into snow and sleet.  Yet today, November 20th, I wore flip flops and while I did have on a thin sweater, I didn't even need a jacket. 

Since Thanksgiving is here and the holidays are upon us (could the local radio stations at least wait until Black Friday to start the 24 hour Christmas music?), I decided to share a few images from Thanksgiving last year at my mom's house.  My mom does such a fabulous job with seasonal decor in the house.  She knows how to make a house feel like a home.  I took a few shots of her branches with strands of lights, and for good measure,  one of my mom and I (self taken per my usual) which happens to be one of my favorite pics of us.  The one thing I have gotten the most compliments over the years is my smile and I definitely get that from her.  Just one of many traits I could be blessed with from my mother. 

Not just at Thanksgiving, but all year there is always something to be thankful for. 

Circles and circles, got to stop spinning

I don't have much to say about these images, other than this is something that has always caught my eye....and since they were taken at work, this is a sight I see every day.  Some might think, why take a picture of something like this?  Well, I say....why NOT take a picture of something like this?  Shapes and light.  Exactly what can make ordinary things look remarkable.  At least to me!

Anyway, now that I'm being diligent about toting my camera around with me I was able to actually snap the shot rather than think, "that would be an interesting photograph"...

I spilled coffee and this image was the result of the spill.  It seemed peculiar looking so I took a photo. You have to look at it kind of sideways. I was going to rotate it but it just didn't look right that way.  It reminded me of the Batman symbol or is it Bacardi Rum?  I don't drink Bacardi, but I think they have a label with something like that on there?  I'd look it up but I'm too lazy. 

Did anyone get the Lebowski reference up there?  If not, you should stop what you're doing and watch it immediately.  Just don't make it a drinking game by drinking when someone says 'man', 'dude', or drops an F bomb.  You'll be toast before 10 minutes is up.

Baltimore's Harbor East

No rhyme or reason for me choosing these few images for today.  I just like them!  These were taken in 2009 in Baltimore, specifically Harbor East.  The first image is of the Landmark Theatre's marquis.  I looked up and just had to snap it from this angle.  The second image is from inside a chic restaurant called Pazo, which was my first (and thus far only) tapas restaurant experience.  I would return!

...I just wouldn't order the classic martini containing a blue cheese stuffed olive.

Why did I order a drink with a blue cheese stuffed olive garnish? 
Probably because it seemed like a good idea after I had already had oh, a few other cocktails prior to arriving at Pazo.  Oh well!  At least I'm up for trying new things, right?
